PixelBench

Questions people ask before using a text tool.

Short answers to the practical and privacy questions that come up most often.

Do you upload the text I paste?

The core tools perform their main operation in your browser and do not submit your draft to PixelBench's server. Read the Privacy Policy for the broader site and third-party service details.

Why does another word counter show a different number?

Word counters use different rules for punctuation, symbols, line breaks, hyphenated words, and non-Latin writing systems. PixelBench uses a simple whitespace-based count and labels it as a practical estimate.

Can the cleaner fix grammar?

No. It removes selected formatting clutter only. It does not judge spelling, grammar, tone, or factual accuracy.

Is reading time exact?

No. It divides the word count by the pace you choose. Familiarity, technical vocabulary, headings, tables, and a reader's purpose all change real reading time.

Does the comparison tool show every changed word?

It checks whether two exact text strings match. It does not create a word-level redline. Read the two versions or use a dedicated version-control tool when a detailed diff is needed.

Can I use the tools for an assignment or client draft?

You can use them as general writing aids if you are allowed to use such tools. Review your institution, employer, client, or publisher's rules and check the output yourself.
